Supporting Care Beyond Ownership
A long‑term commitment to land, responsibility, and regeneration
1. What the GROVE Circle Is
The GROVE Circle flow is the Foundation’s core custodial work: legal protection, governance, monitoring, and learning. It keeps guardianship possible across generations by strengthening the backbone that protects land and holds accountability.
It is support for continuity ensuring land can be protected, cared for, and regenerated beyond individual people, funding cycles, or market pressure.
The GROVE Circle flow is Terra Agora Foundation way to act as Ultimate Guardian: holding land outside speculation and safeguarding purpose across generations.
2. Why the GROVE Exists
Long‑term care cannot rely on:
- One‑off donations
- Short funding cycles
- Individual founders or personalities
Guardianship requires:
- Legal permanence
- Ethical governance
- Continuous oversight
- Institutional memory
The GROVE Circle exists so care does not disappear when attention moves elsewhere.
It allows the Foundation to:
- Hold land outside speculation
- Uphold asset‑locks and statutory protections
- Train, certify, and oversee Guardians
- Monitor regeneration across decades
This is relationship‑based support, not transactional giving.
3. What GROVE Circle Contributions Support
GROVE Circle contributions are unrestricted and sustain the Foundation’s core custodial role.
They fund:
- Legal protection and statutory asset‑locks
- Governance bodies and fiduciary oversight
- Guardian training, certification, and supervision
- Monitoring, audits, and long‑term learning
- Continuity beyond individual people or projects
Important clarity
Once a Guardianship Agreement is signed, the Foundation does not fund Guardian operations.
Where appropriate, Guardians may access capital only through independently managed funds, separate from the Foundation.
This separation protects:
- Ethical integrity
- Financial discipline
- Public trust

What corporate contributions do not fund
- Guardian enterprises
- Livelihoods
- Land operations
This ensures independence, ethical clarity, and long‑term trust.
5. Value, Returns & Accountability
GROVE Circle members are not treated as donors, but as long‑term partners in responsibility.
Supporters are invited to see themselves as investors in long‑term value creation, even without financial return.
FTA tracks and communicates value using a multi‑capital Returns framework, including:
- Natural Returns — biodiversity, soil health, water, ecosystem function
- Social Returns — livelihoods, community cohesion, governance capacity
- Economic Returns — long‑term viability, reduced risk, resilient land use
- Institutional Returns — durable governance, legal protection, field‑building
Importantly, this framework also makes visible the value created by the Foundation itself:
holding land outside speculation, maintaining accountability, and ensuring regeneration can endure.
Monitoring and reporting are therefore core functions of the Foundation, not add‑ons.
6. Ethical & Legal Assurance
Contributions to Fundação Terra Agora support its charitable mission and core operations in accordance with its statutes, asset‑lock provisions, and ethical financing guidelines.
- GROVE Circle contributions are unrestricted and fund governance, legal protection, monitoring, and accountability only.
- The Foundation does not provide operational funding to Guardians once a Guardianship Agreement is in place.
- Any capital supporting Guardian activities is accessed, where applicable, through independently managed funds, separate from the Foundation.
- Indicative contribution ranges are non‑binding and confirmed through dialogue and alignment review.
- The Foundation reserves the right to decline or end relationships that do not meet ethical, legal, or mission‑alignment requirements.
